    Arrival in Shillong via Guwahati

    Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, meet our representative and begin your scenic drive towards Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya. En route, stop at the serene Umiam Lake (Barapani), surrounded by pine-covered hills, for boating and photography. On reaching Shillong, check in at your hotel and relax. In the evening, take a leisure walk around Police Bazaar, the city’s lively market area filled with cafés, street food, and local shops. Overnight stay in Shillong.

    Exploring the Beauty of Shillong

    After breakfast, set out to discover the attractions of Shillong, often called the “Scotland of the East”. Begin with a peaceful stroll at Ward’s Lake and a visit to Lady Hydari Park. Continue to the Don Bosco Museum, which beautifully showcases the culture and heritage of Northeast India. Later, drive up to Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the city and its surrounding hills, followed by a visit to the cascading Elephant Falls, one of Meghalaya’s most famous waterfalls. Evening free at leisure to enjoy Shillong’s vibrant cafés or just relax at the hotel. Overnight stay in Shillong.

    Day Excursion to Cherrapunji (Sohra)

    Today, embark on a short drive to Cherrapunji, renowned as one of the wettest places on Earth. Witness the grandeur of Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall, and explore the enchanting Mawsmai Cave, with its fascinating limestone formations. Stop at Seven Sisters Falls, offering spectacular views of cascading streams during the season, and unwind at Eco Park, overlooking the plains of Bangladesh. Return to Shillong by evening and enjoy a relaxed night at your hotel.

    Shillong Guwahati Departure

    After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to Guwahati. If time permits, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most revered Shakti Peethas. Later, you will be dropped at the airport or railway station for your onward journey, carrying with you unforgettable memories of Meghalaya’s misty hills, waterfalls, and warm hospitality.
